PROJECT OVERVIEW

Hawkins Development, a property development company in the North of England purchased a two storey, 1950s terraced house in Harrogate, Yorkshire. With the plan to split the house into two, single story boutique apartments, Hawkins Development were looking for something to add a ‘wow-factor’ to the conversion. With the simplicity of installation and affordable price, E100 from Systemline was selected for the project.

THE PROPERTY

A traditionally 1950s terraced house, the property required full renovation to convert from a single house to the two luxury apartments desired. This enabled the E100 to be installed at first fix by an electrician who was already working on the property’s electrics. The E100 pack includes a wall unit with a double gang back box for ease of fitting, all necessary cabling and two install speakers from Q Install; the sibling of multi-award winning hi fi brand Q Acoustics.

The apartments consist of an open plan living room and kitchen, perfect for the Systemline single-room installation so music can be enjoyed across the entire area. With conversion from a single house to two apartments, soundproofing was already addressed and therefore sound pollution not an issue between the two.

THE SOLUTION / INSTALLATION

The E100 with two 6.5” Q Install speakers was installed across the living and kitchen space with TV integration – enabling Bluetooth connection via any enabled device and full DAB radio connectivity.

THE VERDICT

Once the properties were ready to sell, an open day was arranged to view both apartments. Both apartments sold on the day, with the E100 being the star of the show. “I was really looking for something to elevate these two luxury apartments with the high competition in the affluent area of Harrogate and the introduction of the E100 did just that. The open plan layout worked perfectly for the E100 and the TV integration capability really captured interest of the prospective buyers. For a small investment, I feel this feature [Systemline E100] added great saleability and I am confident it helped to sell the properties on the day.
