5 Bedroom House // Hale, Cheshire

PROJECT OVERVIEW

A high-end residential developer opted to install Systemline 7 (S7), the state- of-the-art multi-room audio system from Armour Home, at its flagship new build house in Hale, Cheshire. The easy-to-install solution was chosen due to its ability to provide fully integrated access to the widest available range of online music services on the market. The property was also equipped with a Lutron HomeWorks residential lighting solution.

THE PROPERTY

The newly constructed family home includes five bedroom suites, three reception rooms, a home cinema and a games room. The property, which sits within a 0.6-acre plot, also comes complete with an indoor swimming complex and a double garage.

"S7 is built into the fabric of the property"

THE SOLUTION

S7 is built into the fabric of the property and provides high quality audio in up to 24 independent zones. It supports up to and including 24/192 music files for the very best sound quality and facilitates options for personal listening, adding wireless zones and creating a home cinema zone.

Another key feature of S7 is that it uses an open access internet protocol gateway, which encourages connectivity and allows two-way communications with third party control. Unlike mass market closed systems, this means that S7 will easily interface with other home automation systems and building management systems to enable an installer to create a whole house solution that works seamlessly for the user. As a result, the property was equipped with both S7 and Lutron HomeWorks, with both systems being controlled via the same keypads.

Lutron HomeWorks was installed throughout the property, providing convenient, intelligent and sophisticated control of lighting and shading across each room. From one keypad, HomeWorks will dim the lights, lower the shades, and integrate with a home theatre system to create the perfect setting for watching a movie.

Lutron’s innovative ten-button keypads, with S7 integration, was fitted in each room, allowing the homeowner to seamlessly control both lighting and audio throughout the property with the touch of a button.

"The system was installed during the building process and was completed on time and to budget."

THE INSTALLATION PROCESS

The stylish house was designed and built by John Swift Homes, the bespoke property developers, who commissioned Bolton Electrical, the Systemline- approved installers, to fit the solution. The system was easily installed over the course of a month, which included a full cabling infrastructure using cables from the award-winning QED. The system was installed during the building process and was completed on time and to budget.

"Systemline 7 and Lutron HomeWorks work together to create a fantastic user experience."
